TU Wien is Austria's largest institution of research and higher education in the fields of technology and natural sciences. At the Institute for Theoretical Physics TU Wien is offering a position of a non-tenure track assistant professor (6 year postdoc position with teaching obligations). Expected start: September 2026. The High Energy Physics group at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at TU Wien is a small, but expanding, group that is interested in a variety of research topics, ranging from gravity, relativistic hydrodynamics, quantum field theory, relativistic heavy-ion collisions and nuclear theory to astrophysics systems such as neutron stars. We are looking for an outstanding candidate who is able to conceive and conduct ground-breaking research in high energy theory, broadly defined. We offer job stability for 6 years for the individual to carry out a multi-year research project.
