Position Description
The high-energy theory group at the Weizmann Institute of Science invites applications for post-doctoral fellowships in the fields of quantum field theory, string theory and quantum chaos, starting in fall 2026. The faculty members in the group are Ofer Aharony and Micha Berkooz, and we typically have also 2-3 post-docs and 8-10 graduate students in the group. We have close contacts (including joint seminars) with all the other string theory groups in Israel. Ofer Aharony is part of the Simons Collaboration on Confinement and QCD Strings, and post-docs may be partly financed through that collaboration. We are part of the post-doc deadline agreement, so no offers will be made with deadlines before Jan. 30, 2026.
