Position Description
The phenomenology group in Milano-Bicocca invites applications for a 2+1-years postdoctoral position in the area of phenomenology of fundamental interactions, expected to start indicatively in the Fall 2026. The main scientific research interests for the position are higher-order calculations in the QCD and electroweak sectors of the Standard Model and beyond, resummation and Monte Carlo event generators of increasing precision (GENEVA and POWHEG). The Phenomenology group has 4 faculty members (Alioli, Oleari, Re and Rottoli) and several postdocs and PhD students. Close collaboration exists with the local CMS and LHCb experimental groups and with the Phenomenology group at the University of Milano. The salary range for the position is competitive with European standards. The extension to a third year is possible, subject to funding availability and satisfactory performances.
