Position Description
The Department of Physics at the University of California, San Diego invites applications for a postdoctoral position in theoretical condensed matter physics, with a starting date in the Fall of 2026. The successful applicant will work in collaboration with Tarun Grover's group, and would be encouraged to interact with other members of the department. This position is a full-time two-year appointment, renewable for a third year by mutual agreement. Candidates with strong background in topics related to many-body dynamics (e.g. open quantum systems, cellular automata, random circuits, quantum chaos and thermalization, quantum error correction, etc.) and/or topics related to highly-entangled ground states (e.g. topological ordered phases, quantum phase transitions, non-Fermi liquids, etc.) are especially encouraged to apply.
