Position Description
The IAS Center for Fundamental Physics (IAS CFP) (http://cfp.ust.hk) of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) invites applications for postdoctoral positions in the areas of theoretical particle physics, particle astrophysics and gravitational wave astronomy (LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA and Pulsar-Timing-Array programs preferred), and cosmology (duration: 2 years, renewable upon good performance and mutual agreement). The faculty members of the IAS CFP are affiliated with the Department of Physics and/or the Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) at HKUST, including Andrew Cohen, Tao Liu, Kam-Biu Luk, Kirill Prokofiev, Henry Tye (Emeritus), Yi Wang and Yue Zhao. The salary of the position is highly competitive and will be commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. For truly exceptional cases, appointment as non-tenure-track research assistant professor may be possible.
