Position Description

The High-Energy Theory Group at the INFN Frascati National Laboratories (LNF) invites applications for one postdoctoral position in theoretical particle physics. Candidates with expertise in flavour physics, axion phenomenology, effective field theories, low-energy QCD methods, and particle astrophysics/cosmology are particularly encouraged to apply.

The position will be based in Frascati for the full duration of the contract and will be supervised by Federico Mescia. Funded through a national research project (PI: L. Di Luzio), this appointment offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with the broader phenomenology group at LNF, which includes E. Bagnaschi, G. Corcella, V. Del Duca and E. Nardi. Regular interactions and collaborations also take place with researchers from the three Rome universities: Sapienza (RM1), Tor Vergata (RM2), and Roma Tre (RM3).

Appointments are expected to begin in Fall 2026 and will be offered for two years, with the possibility of extension to a third year subject to funding availability. Application Procedure

Applicants should submit:

A CV (including a publication list)

A statement of research interests

Three letters of recommendation, to be uploaded via Academic Jobs Online

Applications received by January 6, 2026 will receive full consideration. Location

The Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati are located approximately 20 km southeast of Rome, in the Frascati area. The laboratories are well connected to Rome by train, with the Tor Vergata station just a 5-minute walk from the LNF entrance.
