Position Description
The Condensed Matter Division at the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, invites applications for a joint postdoctoral research position. Successful candidates will collaborate with Prof. Xin Liu and Prof. Qian Niu (T.D. Lee Chair Professor, adjunct from USTC). This position focuses on a theoretical studies of condensed matter physics, with emphasis on the following frontier topics: - Topological quantum matter, non-Abelian braiding statistics and their applications - Quantum geometry effects (Berry phase, quantum metric) in condensed matter physics. - Transport phenomena in superconducting and electronic quantum devices. - Semiclassical theory of Bloch electrons The position is for a full-time employment for an initial appointment for 2 years, extendable to 3 years based on performance. Start date is as per agreement. We offer a competitive annual salary of minimal 312,000 CNY (≈43,000 USD) plus a 15,000 CNY (≈2,150 USD) settlement allowance. Additional benefits are possible according to the performance of the applicant. Applicants who are also selected for the SJTU Siyuan Postdoctoral Fellowship will get 450,000 CNY (≈62,000 USD) annual salary, plus a 30,000 CNY (≈4,100 USD) settlement allowance.
