Position Description

Postdoc position in polymer informatics. A postdoctoral position is available in the Center for the Chemistry of Molecularly Optimized Networks (MONET) at Duke University. The position will support the development and use of data tools for polymer network chemistry, lead and support research projects that use data science to enhance our molecular understanding of network behavior, and mentor MONET trainees in the use of data tools (such as BigSMILES and CRIPT). The postdoctoral associate will interact with MONET researchers across multiple institutions, and they will report to MONET’s Director, Stephen Craig.

Educational Requirements: PhD in Chemistry, biomaterials, chemical or biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, or related fields

Experience Recommended (not all required): Demonstrated publication record; Demonstrated expertise in polymer chemistry, Ability to maintain research plans and meet deadlines; Ability to train and supervise other lab members; Strong written and oral communication skills
