Position Description
Occupational Summary: We seek a highly motivated individual to perform a wide range of laboratory and experimental procedures in support of ongoing research activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, bacterial cell culture, phage isolation, nucleic acid extractions, and molecular analyses. The individual will maintain accurate and detailed experimental records using both paper and electronic systems and contribute to the day-to-day functioning of the laboratory, including organization, safety compliance, and routine maintenance. This role will also oversee laboratory supply inventory and manage ordering to ensure uninterrupted research operations. Required Qualifications at this Level: Education/Training- Bachelor’s degree in biological or environmental sciences, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience- See job description for requirements. Skills- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Proficient in Excel and Word. No laboratory experience required, but previous laboratory work and experience with bacterial cultures is a plus.
