Job Description: Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Physics at North Carolina State University (NCSU) We invite applications for a postdoctoral position at North Carolina State University (NCSU), starting in the Fall of 2026. The position is in the field of non-perturbative quantum field theory, with a focus on the physics of confinement, phases of matter, and particle and nuclear physics. This position is supported by funds from the Simons Collaboration on Confinement and QCD Strings. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Mithat Unsal and other faculty, postdocs, and students of the nuclear theory and particle theory groups at NCSU. The postdoctoral appointment will be for up to three years, contingent on the availability of funding. Requirements: PhD in Theoretical Physics by the beginning date of the appointment. Expertise in modern aspects of non-perturbative quantum field theory, such as semi-classical methods, symmetries, anomalies, and lattice gauge theory.
