Position Description
We are seeking a Research Scientist to conduct research on sex chromosome evolution in hornworts. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Plant Evolutionary Biology, Bioinformatics, Phylogenetics, Genetics, or related fields, 5 or more years of Postdoc experience, and evidence of strong research productivity. The Research Scientist will be responsible for: 1) conducting laboratory research, 2) data analysis, and 3) preparation of results for publication. The postdoc will also assist the PI (Fay-Wei Li) in overseeing lab projects and helping to train graduate students and undergraduates. Opportunities will be available for the research scientist to explore their own side projects related to the overall goals of the lab research program.
