Position Description
The
Questrom School of Business at Boston University invites applications for a full-time
Lecturer in Accounting starting Fall 2026.
Responsibilities:
The
standard teaching load is three sections per semester (Fall and Spring). The
ability to teach introductory and elective classes in financial accounting,
both in the undergraduate and MBA programs, is highly preferred.
Qualifications:
prospective candidates should possess the following:
- at least a Master’s degree or
professional certification (CPA strongly preferred)
- a record of teaching effectiveness
at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in a variety of modalities
including classroom, online, experiential and hybrid
- professional experience in accounting
or finance (public accounting strongly preferred)
- familiarity with CPA certification
requirements and testing
- a track record of contributing to a
vibrant intellectual community as evidenced by involvement with
professional and/or educational membership organizations and/or
publication of related subject content in journals, blogs or other outlets
- a commitment to Questrom culture
and values, i.e., (i) Students First, (ii) Pursuit of Excellence, and
(iii) Respect for Everyone.

The salary range for full-time Lecturers in the Accounting Department at the Questrom School of Business is $95,000-$98,300.
