Position Description
The Derbyshire Lab at Duke University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced microbiologist interested in expanding and deepening their skills. This Associate in Research will become a member of a multidisciplinary team that is utilizing chemical tools and biological methods to uncover novel aspects of malaria parasite biology with the ultimate aim of identifying druggable targets. The researcher is expected to engage in and contribute to the overarching project activities with a primary focus on globally interrogating parasite biology by using chemical biology, molecular biology, biochemistry and parasitology. This is a short-term position, available for three-months. Minimum Qualifications: Qualified applicants must have considerable experience in host-parasite interactions and microscopy.
