The Boston University Questrom School of Business invites applications for a full-time, endowed, tenured professorship at the Full Professor rank. Applicants must possess a record of service and scholarship commensurate with the honor of the endowed title of Allen and Kelli Questrom Professor at the Questrom School of Business. This is an open-discipline search. Successful candidates should have a strong record of teaching performance at the undergraduate or graduate levels and a demonstrated philosophy of putting students first. Applicants must possess (1) an exceptional research record that has garnered international recognition for identifiable scholarly contributions, (2) evidence of service leadership contributions that have moved the candidate’s school/college and university forward, and (3) a history of engagement and participation in the life of the university that prioritizes collective success above the self. We seek a dedicated and engaged colleague for our leadership team who is prepared and motivated to make significant contributions to advance the impact, relevance, and sustainability of Questrom’s research institutes or teaching programs. For a research contributor, we seek leaders with a demonstrated ability to drive a research agenda and build research institutes through engagement with industry and government partners and alumni, development of research priorities, collaboration across schools and colleges, and fundraising to advance research goals. Ideal candidates will align with one or more of Questrom’s convergent research themes as laid out in our Plan for Eminence and Impact. For a program contributor, we seek institutional leaders who can develop and steward educational programs that address the dynamic business contexts that students face in terms of technology, competition, and social and environmental challenges. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the potential to lead curricular innovation and program development that benefits our students and prepares them for the future. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree and currently hold a tenured faculty position at the associate or full professor level. Research support, teaching load, and benefits are competitive. The salary range for endowed Full Professors at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, depending on departmental affiliation, is $300,000 - $380,000.
