Position Description
A salaried full-time Associate in Research position is available in the Vilgalys laboratory at Duke University. The AiR will contribute to projects investigating genetic interactions of symbiotic fungal communities associated with forest tree species (pines, oaks, cottonwoods). Duties include field and greenhouse studies, microscopy/imaging, DNA/RNA genome sequencing, comparative genomics, as well as shared lab management duties including training and supervision of students and outside visitors involved with this project. Full-time research experience and molecular biology skills are necessary, and computational skills are highly desirable. This position is part of a research team, and training and mentoring will be provided. Please start the filename for your cover letter and CV with your last name.
