Position Description

Students will help analyze data from the large JWST program VENUS. VENUS is observing galaxies in the distant universe magnified by gravitational lensing. The students will help model the lensing and study the distant galaxy images and spectra. This work will help us determine the properties of stars and galaxies in the early universe over 13 billion years ago.

Analytical skills Microsoft Office knowledge, specifically Excel and Word High School education Interested in STEM related field of study GPA of 3.0 minimum out of 4.0 Involvement in research, student organizations, or volunteering. Strong verbal/written communication, time management, and adaptability Resume'/CV required along with a cover letter expressing interests/passions and how you feel you can contribute and what you wish to get out of the summer position.
