Position Description
WORK PERFORMING: Experimental research project support in the area of 2D semiconductor-based electronic devices. This includes being trained to operate fabrication and characterization tools related to these devices. All work will be done under the mentorship of an experienced PhD student with guidance from the faculty member. EDUCATION/TRAINING: Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field. EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in the research/study of 2D semiconductors is a plus. SKILLS: Understanding of semiconductor material and device physics and prior experience with 2D semiconductors. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Operating advanced fabrication and characterization tools, many of which are in the cleanroom facility of the Shared Materials Instrumentation Facility (SMIF) at Duke.
