Position Description
Pitzer College seeks applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP) in Sociocultural Anthropology for the 2026-2027 academic year. The candidate will be expected to offer five courses, including two sections of Introduction to Sociocultural Anthropology along with electives of their choice in their area of specialization. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience with sole-taught courses and whose specializations do not duplicate those of the Pitzer Anthropology faculty or the Anthropology faculty at Pomona and Scripps Colleges in the Claremont Consortium.
