Position Description

WORK PERFORMING: Development of a research software testbed that quantifies end-to-end signal processing performance and supports software-hardware co-design for the development of a deployable, scalable, real-time distributed radar system. Responsibilities include definition of the software testbed architecture and user interface; integration of Matlab or Python software modules provided by other team members; graphical and/or tabular display of intermediate and end-to-end outputs; and a succinct reference document describing how to use the software. In addition, you will be working on research to improve signal processing algorithm efficiency for implementation on FPGA and/or GPU hardware

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Software testbed development, algorithm optimization for compute efficiency, specification of edge computing hardware requirements to achieve real-time performance.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: PhD in ECE

EXPERIENCE: 4+ years of graduate education or equivalent work experience.

SKILLS: Software development, proficiency in Matlab and Python, familiarity with digital signal processing
