Position Description

We have an opening for a postdoctoral fellow position in Condensed Matter Theory in the group of Adarsh Patri at Temple University (https://sites.google.com/view/adarshspatri/home).

The candidate will primarily be involved in theoretical research on topological and correlated phenomena in 2D moiré materials and 3D systems. Topics of current interest include (but are not limited to) unconventional superconductivity in 2D platforms, and non-equilibrium responses of quantum many-body systems. There will be opportunities for collaboration with experimental groups. Both analytical and numerically inclined candidates are encouraged to apply.

The nominal starting date is Fall 2026 (with flexibility on the precise start date). The position is for an initial two years, with the possibility of extension for an additional year upon mutual agreement.

Review of applications will begin on July 10, 2026, and will continue until the position is filled. Minimum expectations include completion of PhD in Condensed Matter Theory by the start of the position, and demonstration of academic performance through publications and conference presentations. Please submit a CV, a brief (2 page) statement of research interests, and arrange for 3 letters of recommendation to be uploaded through the AJO portal.

Please contact Adarsh Patri @ adarsh.patri@gmail.com for additional information if needed.
