Position Description
The Ying-Ming Xie’s Group at the Institute of Condensed Matter Physics, School of Physics and Astronomy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), invites applications for postdoctoral positions in theoretical condensed matter physics. Our research focuses on emergent quantum phenomena arising from the interplay of electronic correlations, unconventional superconductivity, topology, spin–orbit coupling, and quantum geometry in quantum materials.Current research directions include:
（1）Unconventional and topological superconductivity
（2）Correlated phases in two-dimensional quantum materials
（3）Majorana physics and topological quantum computation
（4）Quantum geometric effects and topological responses
Appointments are initially for two years, with the possibility of a one-year extension based on performance. The annual salary is no less than RMB 300,000. Outstanding candidates will be nominated for competitive fellowship programs, including the Shanghai Super Postdoctoral Program and the SJTU Siyuan Postdoctoral Program (Overseas Talent Recruitment). Postdoctoral fellows will also be fully supported in applying for external research funding.
Applicants should hold (or expect to obtain before the starting date) a Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field. The starting date is flexible. Candidates with
backgrounds in condensed matter theory, computational physics, quantum information, first-principles calculations (DFT), or many-body numerical methods are particularly encouraged to apply.
