Job Summary 
The Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan invites applications for a tenured faculty position (Associate or Full Professor) in the Technology and Operations area, with a research focus at the intersection of AI, advanced manufacturing, and supply chain resilience. This appointment is part of a major interdisciplinary faculty cluster — Cognitive Manufacturing — that spans the Ross School of Business and the College of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering). 

Required Qualifications 
The ideal candidate would have research expertise at the intersection of AI and operations, including cognitive AI for manufacturing/supply chain management, resiliency, and integrated AI-human decision making in operations settings. We are especially interested in individuals with a track record of interdisciplinary collaboration with mechanical engineering, computer science, and/or behavioral science colleagues; experience translating research through industry partnerships, pilot deployments, or policy engagement; a history of external research funding from federal agencies and/or industry; and experience mentoring a diverse community of students and junior researchers. Minimum requirements include a doctorate in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field such as Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science, and a record of excellence in business research, teaching, and leadership commensurate with appointment rank.
