The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Assistant Professor position serving as PMHNP Program Coordinator within the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Advanced Practice Programs, the Coordinator provides leadership for the PMHNP track, including curriculum oversight, student success, clinical partnerships, faculty support, and program evaluation. The Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing is part of UMass Chan Medical School’s academic health science center and is dedicated to preparing nurse scientists, advanced practice nurses, nurse educators, and nurse leaders who improve health care in Massachusetts and beyond. Key Responsibilities • Lead implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the PMHNP track. • Teach psychiatric-mental health nursing courses and support curriculum development consistent with AACN, NONPF, and state requirements. • Collaborate with faculty and clinical partners to secure and oversee student clinical placements. • Advise and mentor students, monitor academic and clinical progression, and support professional development. • Support clinical faculty development and promote evidence-based psychiatric practice. • Participate in student recruitment, admissions review, and orientation activities. • Monitor program outcomes and recommend continuous quality improvements. • Serve on Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing and UMass Chan committees as assigned. Required Qualifications • National certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with active clinical practice. • Massachusetts RN/NP licensure or eligibility for licensure. • Doctoral degree in nursing. • Higher education teaching experience. • Online teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications • Record of peer-reviewed, practice-focused scholarship. Salary range: $110,000–$124,000 The position will remain open until filled.
