The Department of Psychology & Neuroscience at Duke University, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Behavioral and Systems Neuroscience, to start in summer 2018.

We seek outstanding applicants with the potential to develop an innovative and externally funded research program and motivation to engage in undergraduate and graduate teaching. Candidates from any area of behavioral and systems neuroscience, including sensory and motor systems, development, and learning and plasticity, are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to those who primarily work with rodent models.

The new faculty member will have access to world-class research facilities and generous lab space especially designed for behavioral neuroscience research. He or she will be a member of the Duke Institute for Brain Sciences (DIBS), a campus-wide interdisciplinary institute committed to building an interactive community of neuroscience researchers, and will teach courses for the undergraduate neuroscience major. He or she will also be affiliated with one or more of the available graduate training programs including Systems and Integrative Neuroscience, Center for Cognitive Neuroscience, Cognition & Cognitive Neuroscience, and Neurobiology. There are numerous opportunities for interaction with other departments, including Psychiatry, Biomedical engineering, and Neurobiology.
