Position Description:    

One to two postdoctoral position openings are available starting from Aug. 1, 2017 at the "Computational Quantum Matters” group at the Department of Physics, National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan. The successful candidate(s) will work on problems in quantum magnetism, superconductivity, cold atom and related areas, with the focus on numerical approaches such as quantum Monte Carlo, DMRG, tensor network states, and GPU/high-performance computing, and will have the chance to interact with Prof. Ying-Jer Kao (National Taiwan University), Prof. Po-Chung Chen(National Tsing-Hua University), Prof. Yu-Cheng Lin (National Cheng-Chi University) and Prof. Hong-Yi Chen (National Taiwan Normal University), as well as condensed matter/AMO theory and experimental groups at these institutes. The group is also working with lattice QCD group at NCTU to develop tensor network methods for LQCD calculations. The successful candidate(s) will also have direct access to the new Peta-flop supercomputer at the National Center for High-Performance Computing in Taiwan through a joint collaboration.
