Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Citizenship for Sustainability (Ref.: 201601553)
Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Citizenship for Sustainability in the Faculty of Social Sciences (as tenure home) and the Faculty of Engineering, to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in environmental policy, sustainability science or related fields and demonstrated teaching and research strengths with a proven ability to secure research funding. Their publications should show an ability to conduct interdisciplinary research on environmental policy, sustainability science, and citizen engagement. Those with interests in methods for computational statistics, big data analytics, spatial and longitudinal analysis, or other areas of social data analytics are especially encouraged to apply. The appointee will teach, administer and develop courses in both undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes.
A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
