ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, - The Department of Psychology, University of Hawaii at Manoa, College of Social Sciences, in Honolulu, Hawaii, invites applications for an Assistant Professor who will contribute to the Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience areas of the department. The specific area of research focus is open and should be relevant to the fields of clinical psychology and neuroscience, broadly defined here as affective, behavioral, or cognitive neuroscience.  This is a 9-month, full-time, tenure-track appointment, position number 82537, to begin August 1, 2017, subject to position clearance and availability of funds.

Duties: Teach courses in clinical psychology and neuroscience which might include behavioral neuroscience and psychopharmacology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and other courses such as neuropsychological assessment. Supervise and mentor MA and PhD students in both clinical psychology and behavioral neuroscience. Establish an active scholarly research program that could include basic and applied research that bridges the areas of clinical psychology and the biological bases of behavior. Seek extramural funding. Participate in department, university, and community service. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:
1. Applicants should have a PhD in clinical psychology and graduate coursework or other training in neuroscience or the biological bases of behavior.
2. An academic and research background that spans clinical psychology and the broad field of neuroscience.  
3. A record of research achievement commensurate with time in the field.
4. A demonstrated record of extramural funding and/or demonstrated potential to secure extramural funding.
5. Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses that span the department concentrations of Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience and to mentor students including MA and PhD students in these concentrations. 

Desirable qualifications: Post-doctoral research experience in related area. Pay range: Commensurate with training and experience.
