|The History Department at Macalester College seeks to hire a Visiting Assistant Professor Historian of Medieval Europe 500-1500 CE for the 2017-18 academic year. Ph.D. in History and college-level teaching experience preferred. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research and pedagogical concerns encompass comparative or global frameworks. Teaching responsibilities include introductory thematic courses on medieval Europe and upper level courses in the candidate’s general fields. Courses on Europe and the wider world particularly welcome.
