Description:

Pending budgetary approval, the Department of Psychology at The Ohio State University seeks an outstanding clinical neuroscientist/neuropsychologist committed to contribute to a university-wide initiative on chronic brain injury (CBI). We are specifically looking for an individual investigating the behavioral and neural correlates of cognitive dysfunction in those with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), Dementia of the Alzheimer’s type (DAT), or Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). We are seeking an individual who is committed to developing a prominent program in clinical neuroscience that is pushing the boundaries of traditional cognitive/neuropsychological assessments. Researchers who employ a variety of methods including brain imaging and/or computational modeling are encouraged to apply. This position is partially funded by Ohio State's Discovery Themes, a significant faculty hiring investment in key thematic areas in which the university can build on its culture of academic collaboration to make a global impact

 Qualifications:

 Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. in psychology or a related field prior to the time of application. All applicants are expected to have very strong and fundable research programs and to contribute to both graduate and undergraduate supervision and instruction. Preferred qualifications include experience developing or working in interdisciplinary research teams, university teaching experience and experience mentoring members of underrepresented groups.  Appointment is contingent on the university’s verification of credentials and other information required by law and/or university policies, including but not limited to a criminal background check.
