The Department of Evolutionary Anthropology at Duke University is seeking applications for a Associate in Research with the Hare Group at Duke University to begin as early as August 1, 2022.

Your duties will include managing the Duke Puppy Kindergarten program (including training and supervising volunteers, caring for and socializing puppies, coordinating logistics); coordination of the collaboration between the Duke Puppy Kindergarten and Duke Pediatrics, including planning the studies, supervising data collection, liaison between Duke Puppy Kindergarten and Duke Pediatric staff; overseeing dog research at the Duke Canine Cognition Center; overseeing research with animals at other research sites (possibly including dogs at various service dog and military dog facilities); overseeing people‚Äôs perceptions and attitudes towards animals; monitoring ethics approvals and updating protocols; ordering lab equipment and maintaining lab organization; help with arrangements for travel, conferences, and lab meetings; working with department management in organizing receipts for lab expenditures; edit research papers and help format references; and help with other tasks as needed.
