University of California, Los Angeles Post-doctoral position on LZ Dark Matter experiment We invite applications for a post-doctoral position within the dark matter research group at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The successful candidate will primarily work on the LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) dark matter experiment. The candidate is expected to strongly contribute to LZ data analysis and LZ detector calibrations with regular shifts to Sanford Underground Research Facility where the experiment is located to work on the upgrade and the operation of the different detector calibration systems. The successful candidate is also expected to contribute to R&D projects towards next generation dark matter detectors which will be conducted within the research laboratory at UCLA . We are looking for an outstanding candidate who has obtained, or is about to obtain, a Ph.D. in experimental particle or astroparticle physics. Applicants with both software and hardware experience in liquefied noble gas detectors are preferred. The regular duration of the position would be two years, with a possible extension upon agreement.
