Duke University, Pratt School of Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering has an Associate in Research position open in the Nightingale Lab.

This position requires excellent organizational skills, computer programming skills, and prior laboratory and device design experience, ideally with some prior experience in ultrasonic imaging.

The job will entail supporting all aspects of the research being performed in the Nightingale lab.

Responsibilities will include:

- Developing and testing a rotation position control and biopsy guidance system for transrectal ultrasound-guided biopsy of prostate cancer.

- Obtaining in vivo ultrasound data from patients undergoing a prostate biopsy in the urology clinic and/or operating suites at Duke University Medical Center.

- Assisting with processing and analysis of the prostate data, including image generation and segmentation, along with the development of image visualization tools.

- Providing general assistance and input into other ongoing studies in the Nightingale lab.

Degree Requirement: BS Degree or higher
