We invite applications for a postdoctoral fellow position at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the area of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics - Integrated Quantum Devices with Atoms and Photons. The successful candidate will work in the research group of Prof. Chandra Raman. Dr. Chandra Raman of Georgia Tech’s School of Physics seeks a postdoctoral scientist to join a collaborative and fun team that builds state-of-the-art, integrated, chip-scale quantum devices using atoms and photons. This postdoc will join the dynamic Raman Lab in the School of Physics at Georgia Tech, which is home to the world-class IEN (Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology) cleanroom facilities. The position represents a unique opportunity to be part of an interdisciplinary research team including physicists and engineers at the frontier between AMO science and quantum device engineering.

Georgia Tech consistently ranks among the top public universities in the United States and is located in the heart of Atlanta, one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in the US. Atlanta offers endless opportunities for musical, culinary and cultural exploration, as well as close proximity to outstanding areas such as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or the coastal cities of Savannah and Charleston.

We are looking for an outstanding applicant who has obtained, a Ph.D. in Physics, experimental AMO physics, cavity QED and/or atomic photonics, with a strong interest in realizing novel quantum devices using neutral atoms.

The postdoctoral fellow offers a competitive salary and benefits. The position will have an anticipated start date of August 1, 2021 (start date flexible) for one year renewable for up to a total of three years.

Applicants should submit a CV with a list of publications, the name of three references willing to provide letters of recommendation, and a brief cover letter with statement of research interests (maximum two pages). Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
