Applications are invited for one (or more) postdoctoral position at
the Physics Department of the Technical University of Munich in the
group of Nora Brambilla and Antonio Vairo, starting in Fall 2020. The research interests of
the group include effective field theories for the Standard Model, the
strong interactions and beyond, heavy ion collisions and quark gluon
plasma formation, and effective field theories for Majorana neutrinos
and dark matter bound states, quarkonium and exotics. We deal both with perturbative techniques
(high order loop calculations) and nonperturbative methods (lattice).
For more information on the group research activity see the web page
https://einrichtungen.ph.tum.de/T30f/index.html
and https://einrichtungen.ph.tum.de/T30f/research.html
We are offering a very attractive research environment
within the Origins (https://www.origins-cluster.de) and the Quantum
(https://www.mcqst.de) Clusters of Excellence established in Munich, the
Quarkonium Working Group (www.qwg.to.infn.it), the
DFG SFB "Symmetries and Emergences of Structure in QCD" in
collaboration with Bonn University and Chinese research institutions
and the Focus Group on "Effective Field theories and Lattice"
at the Institute of Advanced Studies of the TUM.
The position is for two years in the first instance, with possible
extension to a third year.
Review of applications will start immediately and will proceed up to when
the position has been filled.
To apply to the postdoc position we need to receive
your curriculum vitae and two recommendation letters. |
