The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign high-energy theory and cosmology group anticipates having one or more postdoctoral research positions, including possible joint positions with Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The appointments are for two-year terms with possible extension to a third year. We are seeking candidates with research interests in any of the following: particle phenomenology, astroparticle physics, early-universe cosmology, quantum field theory, lattice gauge theory, lattice QCD, and all aspects of dark matter physics. The positions will commence in the Fall of 2023.

The faculty working in the areas of interest are Peter Adshead, Patrick Draper, Aida El-Khadra, Yonatan Kahn, and Jessie Shelton. The group has ongoing collaborations with members of the theory group at Fermilab and the National Quantum Initiative quantum center SQMS (https://sqms.fnal.gov), and is active in the Illinois Center for Advanced Study of the Universe (ICASU, https://icasu.illinois.edu).

Interested applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a statement of research interests, and arrange to have three letters of reference uploaded through AJO. Applications received by November 21, 2022 will receive full consideration.

The University of Illinois is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and ideas who embrace and value diversity and inclusivity (www.inclusiveillinois.illinois.edu).
