The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor - Practice to teach in both the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) programs. The candidate will join the Pharmacy Practice and Science Division and work with a highly collaborative team of faculty. The successful applicant will be part of a teaching team for an interdisciplinary PharmD course series and lead the workshop aspect of the course, ensuring the integration of basic science and application of clinical content. The successful applicant will also contribute to teaching in the undergraduate program. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to active learning pedagogy and student-centered, integrated learning. Though this is an appointment for 1 calendar year, the position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding.

90% of position – Instructional activities and course administration in the PharmD and BSPS programs.

10% of position – Service. Service on appropriate College committees, task forces, teaching teams, and learning groups as needed.

Salary range for this position is $93,000 - $105,000.

Required Experience: Applicants must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent, PGY-1 residency training or equivalent practice experience, and pharmacist licensure or eligibility for licensure in Ohio.

Desired Experience: Ideal candidates will have 2 or more years of pharmacy practice experience and significant teaching experience. Familiarity with active learning strategies and educational technology in the classroom is highly desirable.
