The Boston University Questrom School of Business is seeking a Post-doctoral Scholar in Business Economics or Analytics for a two-year position beginning Summer or Fall 2024. The Post-doctoral Scholar will have 50% time to work on their own research projects. The position will entail teaching an introductory analytics/econometrics course using Python. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct independent research in the fields of business economics or analytics.
• Teach sections of an introductory analytics/econometrics course using Python.
• If desired, collaborate with faculty on research projects and publications.
• Participate in departmental seminars and workshops.
• Engage with the academic community through conferences and seminars.
Qualifications:
• A Ph.D. in Economics, Strategy, Data Analytics, or a related field by the time of appointment.
• Demonstrated potential for high-quality research and teaching.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and econometrics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
