Stanford University The specific goals of the Stanford Science Fellows program are:
Stanford University offers a wide range of opportunities for scientists whose curiosity will advance foundational research and make them leaders in the academy. Stanford’s top-ranked science and engineering departments, as well as many interdisciplinary laboratories and research institutes, are situated in close proximity on a campus that is an unparalleled venue for collaboration. Stanford Science Fellows will have access to faculty and facilities within Stanford’s Schools of Humanities and Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, and Earth and at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. The program also includes community-building activities to foster professional development and leadership skills, as well as workshops, seminars, and informal discussions with Stanford faculty and visitors on current topics throughout the natural sciences. Candidates should intend to pursue experimental and/or theoretical research and training in any natural science discipline. Fellows will hold primary appointments in an academic unit in any participating school appropriate to their their research interests.
