Position Description: Yale-NUS College is a highly selective liberal arts and science college in Singapore. Co-founded by Yale University and the National University of Singapore, the College is committed to excellence in research and teaching within a full residential programme that integrates living and learning. Its curriculum educates students in Asian and Western intellectual traditions as well as current scientific thought. The College is seeking to hire up to three full-time Lecturer positions in mathematics, computer science, and data science (statistics). These positions are on a one (1) year contract, starting in the academic year 2022-2023 with possibility of extension of up to two (2) more years, subject to good performance of the incumbent, and the College’s teaching needs.
The
successful candidate is expected to teach at least five (5) courses, which will
be in the area of either mathematics, computer science, and data science (statistics)
and/or in the Common Curriculum (https://www.yale-nus.edu.sg/curriculum/common-curriculum/). Advising students will also be required as
needed. Requirement: ·
PhD in either
Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related subjects
from a regionally or internationally accredited institution. · At least two (2) years of undergraduate teaching experience.
The
