Job description

You will become part of our young team of MHI – Quantum Information at École normale supérieure-PSL. You will be a member of the physics department of ENS, a leading institution that offers an outstanding scientific environment. We have an open postdoc position (2 years) on “magnetic skyrmions for quantum applications”.

You will perform collaborative research towards the realization of quantum computing technologies based on magnetic skyrmions and your main goal will be to push forward the theoretical understanding of the quantum properties of skyrmions and their utilization in novel quantum computing platforms. The employment contract is limited to 2 years, with the possibility of an extension upon mutual agreement.

Your Profile

Candidates should have PhD training, experience and a proven record in theoretical physics, ideally in area of condensed matter, quantum physics, quantum magnetism, or a related field. They should be enthusiastic about using condensed matter, quantum field theory and open quantum system advanced methods to solve interesting and challenging physical problems. They should also be able to operate in a team environment, with excellent organizational and communication skills in English. A strong programming background is an advantage.
