The high energy theory group in the Department of Physics at the University of Michigan welcomes applications for Leinweber Postdoctoral Fellow positions starting in the Fall of 2022, in the areas formal high energy physics, including string theory, quantum field theory, scattering amplitudes, gauge-gravity duality, black hole physics, supergravity, and HET aspects of quantum information. Applicants are automatically considered for a Van Loo Postdoctoral Fellowship jointly with the Department of Mathematics. 

The faculty of the high energy theory group at Michigan includes on the formal side Ratin Akhoury, Henriette Elvang, Finn Larsen, Jim Liu, and Leo Pando-Zayas and on the pheno side Aaron Pierce and James Wells. The group is part of the Leinweber Center for Theoretical Physics (LCTP) which along with colleagues in Cosmology/Astrophysics generates a vibrant collaborative environment for research with an active visitor program, workshops, and conferences.
