Using the  NoCOVER  option

Clicking on the "NoCover" link will bring the List of applicants with no cover sheets. These are candidates that were entered by your department's AcademicJobsOnline administrator at the NewApp screen. These new applicants have not filled out the standard cover sheet here online at AcademicJobsOnline yet.

They won't show up in your Application List for the search committee to see until their AcademicJobsOnline standard coversheet is submitted online. If an applicant does not utilize the AcademicJobsOnline system to apply online after your initial email (via the New App screen), you may wish to type in a coversheet and upload scans of the documents you receive by mail.

Let's see what actions you are able to do here:

    1. Below the List of applicants with no cover sheets title, is the list of applicants that fit the above criteria. Their names are active links. Click on a name to bring up an editable Enter a New Applicant form with their information.
    2. Also on the Enter a New Applicant form, to the far right of Email Address you'll see a checkbox with Email?. The checkbox is for emailing the applicant being entered. If the checkbox is checked, the applicant will receive an email, asking that they login to and enter a coversheet. This will be useful if you did not originally email the applicant using the New App screen or if you w ish to repeat the email.
    3. At this Enter a New Applicant form, you'll find text directly below the title. The last sentence in this text says "To enter the cover sheet for this applicant yourself, click here". Clicking on here will bring up a "Create A New Cover Sheet for [applicant name]" screen, for you to fill out and submit for the applicant.
    4. On this "Create A New Cover Sheet for [applicant name]" screen, you may enter the applicant's cover sheet data. This is usually done only when the applicant has not responded to the invitation to do so. After submitting the cover sheet, the next screen will display the cover sheet information and allow you to upload scans of the application documents you received on paper.
