Position Description

The Boston University Intensity Frontier Group invites applications for a postdoctoral associate, which is available immediately.  Our group has major roles in a Fermilab experiment:  The Mu2e experiment, which is in the middle of construction and commissioning, and is scheduled for data-taking in 2027.  A recent, or soon to be awarded, Ph.D.  in experimental particle or nuclear physics is required.  The initial appointment is for one year, renewable by mutual consent for up to three additional years.  Candidates should send a statement of interest, a CV, and have three letters of recommendation sent to James Miller, miller@bu.edu.

BU conducts a background check on all final candidates for certain faculty and staff positions. The background check includes contacting the final candidate’s current and previous employer(s) to ask whether, in the last seven years, there has been a substantiated finding of misconduct violating that employer’s applicable sexual misconduct policies. To implement this process, the University requires a final candidate to complete and sign the form entitled “Authorization to Release Information” after execution of an offer letter.
