The Cornell University Division of Nutritional Sciences (DNS) in the College of Human Ecology and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences has multiple faculty positions available on the Ithaca campus (tenured and tenure-track).  DNS is among the largest and top-ranking nutritional science departments in the world. 

Applications from all areas of nutritional science and related fields are welcome.

Strong consideration will be given to scholars with demonstrated research and teaching or extension excellence in areas such as (but not exclusive to): precision nutrition; nutritional immunology; cancer biology; health equity; global health; maternal and child nutrition, food and nutrition security; artificial intelligence, big data, computational biology as applied to molecular or human nutrition; and/or the basic life sciences.

Faculty hired in these positions will be members of the Division of Nutritional Sciences, which spans the Ithaca and New York City campuses. The position(s) may be supported in part by Cornell University’s FIRST program (Cornell FIRST), a grant from the NIH’s Common Fund’s Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation (FIRST) Program, to recruit early-career faculty who have a demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence. Depending on interests, candidates have an opportunity to benefit from strong collaborative ties to Weill Cornell Medicine and Cornell Tech in New York City, and from opportunities for research and development that are provided by an extensive network of centers and institutes including the Center for Precision Nutrition for Health, Biological High Performance Computing facility, Radical Collaboration in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Englander Institute for Precision Medicine, Center for Health Equity, Action Research Collaborative, Center for Vertebrate Genomics, Genomics Innovation Hub, Genome Biology Initiative, Cornell Center for Immunology, Kavli Institute at Cornell for Nanoscale Science, and the Kevin M. McGovern Family Center for Venture Development in the Life Sciences, among others. 

Tenured and tenure-track faculty must hold the equivalent of a Ph.D. Applicants must have demonstrated an ability to conduct outstanding research. Successful candidates are expected to pursue an active, externally funded research program, to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and to supervise graduate students.
