Randles Lab-Associate in Research

Seeking an Associate in Research to develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance computational fluid dynamics (CFD) workflows for biomedical applications, with a focus on efficient execution across heterogeneous HPC architectures, including GPU-based systems. Profile and benchmark codes to identify performance bottlenecks, implement optimizations, and ensure portability across platforms such as local clusters and leadership-class supercomputers. Support and execute computational experiments, including simulation setup, data processing, and integration with machine learning pipelines, while contributing to analysis and interpretation of results. Collaborate closely with lab members to advance research objectives and assist in preparing manuscripts, reports, and presentations. The role includes independent decision-making on performance strategies and workflow design, with opportunities to mentor junior trainees on computational methods and best practices.
