Position Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join a joint research effort led by Dr. Tananun Songdechakraiwut (Computer Science, Duke University) and Dr. Michael Lutz (Neurology, Duke University School of Medicine). This interdisciplinary collaboration provides an opportunity to work across departments/schools and contribute to advancing the early detection of Alzheimer's disease through innovative applications of deep learning, medical imaging, and biomarker integration. This full-time, one-year position offers a unique opportunity to engage in impactful research at the intersection of AI, connectomics, and Alzheimer's research. Qualifications: · Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field · Expertise in deep learning and its application to medical imaging (e.g., MRI) · Experience with MRI data analysis, network science, graph theory, topological analysis, or related computational approaches, especially in Alzheimer’s disease research, is highly desirable · Proven ability to conduct independent research and disseminate findings through peer-reviewed journals and conferences Responsibilities: · Develop and implement computational models and perform deep learning analyses for the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease using MRI, biomarkers, and advanced computational techniques · Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in neurology, statistics, and computer science · Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences Location: Duke University, Durham, USA How to Apply: To apply, please email the following documents to T.song AT duke.edu and Michael.
