Duke University’s Master of Engineering in Financial Technology program in the Pratt School of Engineering invites applications for a Non-Regular Rank Adjunct Professor position. The ideal candidate will have commitment, passion, and excellence in teaching.
This position will teach the FinTech 522: Financial Institutions -Statistics course in the FinTech Master’s Program, this required course is made up of two 7 week sections that contain identical information. This role will have the mentorship of Pratt’s outstanding regular-rank teaching faculty and not only polish their teaching skills but also become immersed in the novel pedagogy used in these programs.
Preferred candidates will have a demonstrated ability to teach statistics related subjects, as well as experience in a professional setting. Statistics are used prolifically throughout the FinTech graduate program so an academic and industry understanding of statistics, particularly in an applied environment is crucial to the success of the classes. The classes are offered in person and online. This position is expected to be part time.
