Position Description

Duke University is seeking applicants for an Executive in Residence in its Master's in Interdisciplinary Data Science (MIDS) program. This is a non-regular rank faculty position to begin January 1, 2026, and finish December 31, 2026. This position is expected to teach financial modeling courses in the Quantitative Finance Concentration (QFC) within MIDS.

Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. in math, financial engineering, or related quantitative disciplines, as well as 15+ years of financial industry experience developing quantitative models for a range of risk types, including credit and operational risk, particularly in detecting financial crimes such as anti-money laundering.
