Faculty position in the School of Physics at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study

As the first research institute for basic sciences in the nation, Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) was founded in 1996 by Korean Government to promote excellence in the basic science research. School of Physics at Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) is seeking outstanding faculty candidates for full-time Professor position in the field of Theoretical Physics. Applicants are expected to have a strong commitment to research, an excellent track record in the field, and the ability to establish collaborative teams and train junior scientists. Applicants should demonstrate research excellence, diverse experiences, and leadership that elevate the research area to a world-leading level. The initial appointment for faculty position one to three years and is renewable for every up to seven additional years depending on overall research performance.

B. Documents Required for the Shortlisted Candidates from Initial screening

 (1) Required Documents: Five reference letters requested by the applicant

    - Letters must be submitted directly by the referees. To avoid conflict of interest, KIAS (QUC) Distinguished Professors and KIAS Professors cannot serve as referees.

 (2) Submission Period: Within 30 days(KST) from the next business day after the announcement of the initial screening results.

※ All reference letters must be received by the deadline. Incomplete submissions will result in disqualification from the interview.
