The Texas A&M University astronomy group invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in high-redshift galaxy formation and evolution. The postdoctoral associate will work in collaboration with Prof. Justin Spilker analyzing imaging and spectroscopy of distant galaxies from JWST, ALMA, and HST. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on projects related to high-redshift galaxy kinematics and outflows from JWST integral-field spectroscopy, rest-UV/optical properties of obscured galaxies, and multiwavelength UV-optical-IR resolved imaging and spectroscopy of high-redshift galaxies. The applicant will be encouraged to develop and lead future observing programs, develop collaborations with other TAMU astronomers, and serve as a mentor for graduate and/or undergraduate student researchers.

The start date is flexible from May – October 2024. The appointment will be for two years, with continuation for a third year contingent on satisfactory performance and funding availability. Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. in astronomy or physics by the anticipated start date. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
